I tried to follow the instructions you posted but I couldn't find anything useful.
I tried to change the date and time format and now the KDE clock and date are the same showed by notes in the emails.
Unfortunately this didn't help.

The alarm are enabled in the Calendar & ToDo -> Alarms tab

The menu Actions > Tools > Preferences doesn't exist any more.

The flag $EnableAlarms=1 is correctly set in the notes.ini file

I don't understand how to check the point 1. What are the Location document and the Name & Address Book (NAB) ?

Locatoin Document

The NAB is the database that contains all of your local contacts. By default, it is names.nsf. The location documents are stored in the NAB. If the information (server name, mail file name, domain, etc..) listed in the location document is incorrect, you're alarms will not work.
