~James PreresaskiodenNov 16, 2015, 10:08 PM34 PostsJust open the database in the browser The R&R database has a web UI so all you need to do is point your browser at it like you do the mail file and you can access it. The web UI is not as nice looking at the Notes one and we have improvements on our work list but I do not have any schedule for when those will be released that I can share with you. We strongly recommend that users not directly book in the R&R database. The biggest reason is that they will need to make meeting changes in 2 places (the Calendar AND the R&R database) if they want to keep their reservation and their meeting in sync. It also makes freeing up reserved rooms automatic when a meeting gets cancelled instead of a manual process if directly booked. That means less work for the booking user AND better room usage for everyone. Bruce IBM
~James PreresaskiodenNov 18, 2015, 4:50 PM34 PostsIt can be doneFirst off, is there any particular reason that the users want to open the R&R database using a browser? To answer your question, simply point the browser to the URL for the R&R database itself. There is a web UI in the R&R database that works but is somewhat dated. We strongly recommend that customers not let users directly book in the R&R database. There are several reasons for this. The strongest reasons are: It requires them to perform the reservation work in 2 places: Calendar for users and the R&R dB for the room. This is a lot more time consuming than simply booking it from the Calendar. It is more prone to wasted bookings when users cancel or reschedule meetings and forget to cancel or reschedule in the R&R dB. Booking from the Calendar will automatically handle cancellations and reschedules for the user. Booking rooms at multiple sites may require work be done in separate R&R databases making it even more time consuming. Booking from the Calendar is an easy matter of performing multiple searches from the calendar entry. Bruce IBM
