Hi,

I need update my Traveler server which is currently version 9. What is the best way to proceed? Should I first upgrade domino to 901FP6, then upgrade traveler to Traveler 90112 or just doing upgrade of traveler to Traveler 90112 is enough? I assume that after the upgrade, all users will be able to connect back to server. Is this correct? Please help. I need upgrade because my iphone users have meeting issues and want do it the best way. Ensure after upgrade everything runs well.

Thanks!

Procedure

Hi Gavinash,

first you have to upgrade your Domino server and if that's finished you can upgrade your Traveler application.

If your users got the devices clients from the server, they all receive a upgrade notification. If your users got the Traveler ( IBM Verse ) application from the Apple or Play store, upgrades are periodically

Note: When you have decided to run in HA mode, you can also upgrade your DB2 database scheme manually before upgrading Traveler. But if you are running without DB2, never mind my note !

90114 is out too!
Traveler 9.0.1.14 is out, noted to be necessary for Domino 9.0.1FP7
so:
update your server to 9.0.1FP6
dont forget to update the JVM for both Domino and clents.
update traveler to 9.0.1.14

Known issue on Linux 64-bit and Domino FP7

Gavinash,

You can also upgrade the Domino server to 901 FP7 as it is also out now. But we have a known issue on Linux 64-bit as I've observed that your platform is "Linux".  Make sure that you apply Traveler 9.0.1.14 when upgrading Domino to FP7.

Although, there is no necessity to upgrade Domino at all if you want to upgrade Traveler. Domino upgrade is just optional if you want to upgrade Traveler to a later code. I recommend you upgrade to 9.0.1.14 since iOS 10 will only be supported starting 9.0.1.13 and later releases of Traveler
