Call a CGI program from server

A client has an old Notes database with a web front end (not Xpages.) When a certain type of document is saved from the web I need to call a CGI program on the server: http://192.168.1.99/io.cgi?DOA1=10 (it pulses a light as an indicator in a shop to check the incoming trouble ticket.) I am saving the document with some LotusScript while the outside user gets redirected to a "thank you" page. But I can't figure out how to call that CGI from the Domino server. Little help, anyone...?
