Operation Not supported on this platform

Hello All, I am extremely sorry for posting this i.e. if this has been asked earlier, but I searched this forum and could not find any answer.

Issue: while sending a mail from notes client, getting an error "operation is not supported on this platform". the only option is to click "OK". though the mail is sent after clicking OK, but this dialogue box popping up every time is irritating.

Client: Notes client: 8.5.3 (standard version) as well as 9.0 (social version)

Fix Packs: Tried all relevant fix packs for 8.5.3

Mac OS X: 10.8.3

If I recall, then this problem was not there on 8.5.2 with OS X 10.8.2

Any help will be truly appreciated.

I never saw this...
...and never heard for this error before. For me this is not a Notes issue.
Use a not customized template, use a new user account on Mac OS, repair rights and so on and make a clean install of Notes client.

tried it - still no relief

thanx, tried that as well. even on a mac with a clean install of OS X. We have two macs and the issue exists in both of them.

not sure why this keeps popping up, but I seriously need a solution to this.

Few suggestions:
1. Can you try logging with some other user on the same notes client and see if you can reproduce the issue.
   2. Make sure that the user you will try with does not have customized mail template. Also the template for that user should be based on mail9.ntf.
