Can Active directory authentication be used with IBM Traveler on Mobile devices? In theory, I think with directory assistance this can be done.

If the Active Directory policy specifies the password to expire every 90 days, how would Traveler respond. Does the user need to key in the password in the mobile traveler profile every time AD password is changed?

Traveler HTTP Auth uses DA.

Hi Ravikiran,

What you can do, create another directory and add it to da.nsf. Notes Traveler users will use the HTTP password, unless Directory Assistance is configured on the Web server to allow logins with their Active Directory LDAP credentials.

if using DA, remember to up your http user cache
if configuring Traveler to authenticate with an external source (Active Directory LDAP) make sure to increase the size of your http user cache to match the number of mobile users you expect beyond the default 60.
otherwise it'll be hard for Domino DA / MS AD to keep up with all the ldap traffic caused the constant grind of authentication requests generated from your traveler devices with every request
