Traveler Error : Android - Exception encountered: Error while reading posted data

I have a user that has been using Traveler successfully for the last year or so without any problems.  They are currently out of the country and connecting through Wifi or the local Wireless Network.  On some of their syncs they are able to pick up data without a problem on other syncs they are getting an authentication error on their end and I am seeing on the server the error below.  Other users are not affected.

Exception encountered: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Error while reading posted data

It's a domino 9.0 with Traveler 9 IF1.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We had an issue similar to this.  After an IF install, we noticed this in our logs.  We opened a PMR and were told by IBM to check the logs for network latency issues between Traveler and our backend Domino mail servers.    You want to look for this in your stats (tell traveler stat show) output: DCA.DB_OPEN.Time.Histogram.  If you see instances of open times over 120 seconds, that's a red flag.
