Hello

We have a Domino 9 server with clients in Notes Social Edition.
We use the Domino directory to store user information (name, surname, email, address, phone ...).
Our users use the Verse application for Mobile. I would like to use Domino so that mobile users have all the time the company's up-to-date directory with contacts and phone number -> When a person calls, the employee's name appears

Verse creates many contacts on the phone but only those specific to the user. How can you add all the contacts of the directory on the contact database of each user?

Sorry for my English :-)

Have a good day.

create a shared address book

To create a SIMPLE shared contacts application in Lotus Notes/Domino:

File -> Database (Application in Notes 8) -> New

In the New Database dialog box, choose your server, give the application a Friendly Title like "Shared Contacts", then a file name, ensure you choose "Personal Address Book" in the Templates section at the bottom of the screen.

This will create a database on your server that is based on the Personal Address Book template, that can be used as a shared contacts application (While the Application is still open choose "Edit -> Copy as link ->Database link" to help in the next step).

For your users to be able to refer to this list of contacts when addressing email, etc, you will then need to configure a directory assistance record that points to this application. You may also want to change the Shared Contacts database Access Control List to restrict who can create, edit and modify shared contacts.

If you have not set up Directory Assistance yet.

Do the same as above (File -> Database -> New)
Create a Database with the Title "Directory Assistance" on your server.
Use the Filename "da.nsf"
Use the "Directory Assistance" Template (you may need to change the template server to your server and choose "Show advanced templates" to be able to see this template).
When the database has been created, create a directory assistance record by choosing the "Add Directory Assistance" button on the Action Bar.

Complete the Fields as follows:

Basics
Domain type: Notes
Domain name: YourDomain
Company name: Shared Contacts
Search order: 2
Enabled: Yes

Then go to the Replica's Tab, right-hand click in the "replica's" field and choose "Paste" (this will paste the database link created earlier).

Save and close the Directory Assistance record.

Now edit the Server Document in your Domino Directory and add "da.nsf" to the Directory Assistance field on the "Basics" tab of the server document.

Save and close the server document and restart your server.

Now any contact added into your shared contacts Database will be available to your users when addressing email.

Note that the "Personal Address Book" template is not a fully-fledged CRM system, but it will allow you to create and use shared contacts.

thanks

Thanks Bradley
This configuration makes it possible to fetch another address book when the users enter recipients.
but, the Verse application does not consider this address book as the user's own contacts and does not synchronize them locally on the phone. These shared contacts do not appear as "verse contacts" or "call contacts" on the mobile.

Is there any solution to do this ?
