I just created a new Domino server based on Red Hat 7 to replace our long standing Windows 2003 based Domino installation.
The server was installed with Domino 9.0.1 FP4 and Traveler 9.0.1.7 and works very well. No problem accessing from web nor Traveler.

The new server took the IP address and the host name of the old server. The old server is stil alive though, but outside the Windows Domain and with a new host name and IP address.

What is strange is that all the clients will not connect to the new server by themselves. Seems like the Notes clients have problems with name resolution, cause if I ping the host name of the Domino server the client connects fine afterwards.

Experienced similar?

Server doc
Check the Server doc- ports tab-notes network ports-net address field.

Does it have the correct FQHN?
If you suspect you have issues with DNS, change it to the ip address of the server then restart domino server
