Links in emails don't open per the settings in preferences

I get a marketing email from HubSpot (this email is about the webinar series that we, TLCC, and TeamStudio do together on XPages). My Notes client is configured to open emails in the Firefox browser. However, links in this email from Hubspot (and other similar ones from the same company) always open in the Notes client in the same tab that the email was in. This issue is also repeated on another mail account/Notes client that we tried.

Below is an image of the email:

And after clicking the first link this is my Notes client image. Note how the link opened in the Notes client and replaced the email?

I suspect this will affect all Notes recipients of the email we send out. It also does not happen all the time on subsequent clicks on the same link. Sometimes they start to work correctly.

I can have this email sent out to any person who wants to give this a try in their own Notes client. If I forward the email to someone than the links will always work.

Just let me know at howardg AT tlcc.com.

thanks,

Howard

Configuration?
Could you please post a screen shot of your Client preferences for the Web Browser?

Also have you tried checking this preference and trying?
