History not appearing on sent emails via Traveler

Hi

We are having an issue with Traveler via Android when replying and forwarding. While during the creation of the reply or forward, the user can see the history, when the email is sent, the recipient only receives the text as someone would when replying without history. When using the Respond Inline option, the email trail will appear with the recipient however each user shouldn't be expected to select that each time on reply or forwarding of emails. The iOS users don't have this issue.

I found the below and made the suggested change as outlined - but it didn't help:

1. From the Domino Administrator, click the Configuration tab and expand the Messaging section.

2. Click Configurations.

3. Select the Configuration Settings document for the mail server or servers you want to administer, and click Edit Configuration.

4. Click the MIME -> Conversion Options -> Outbound tab.

5. Complete the following fields and then click Save & Close: Message Content  to "Convert from Notes to Plain Text and HTML"

 

Has anyone had this issue before and resolved it?

Using:

IBM Traveler client - latest on Google Play

IBM Traveler Server - 8.5.3 Upgrade Pack 2

I can't duplicate the problem you're having.  I ran some simple tests with a couple of devices, with no issues.  That coupled with the lack of complaints leads me to believe that the latest Android app appears to be working fine for us. However, our server is 9.0.1 FP2 HF591.  I'd suspect your issue might be an incompatibility between the android app version and the older server.  It's possible to use an older version of the Android app, but you can't install it from Google Play.

Thank you for putting some time into our issue.

I have located the matching APK from the domino server and installed it to one of the android devices that had the issue. While the layout is definitely different, the issue didn't occur. I get the feeling that when the "Show History" tick box was included in the app, this is when the issue likely started occurring.

While apparently the version we are using is supposed to be compatible with the current GooglePlay version, it seems it's not so we will now schedule an upgrade of the server and see if that resolves the issue for all users.

I will come back to this ticket when the upgrade has complete to confirm for anyone else who may require this information.
