Events not working in dialogbox

Hi,

Form Events are not working when the form is opened in a dialogbox !

OnLoad, postopen, queryopen... nothing is working.

Note that when I create a document without the dialogbox, it works.

Knowing that this code was working properly on Domino 7.0.2 and 8.5

Another important info, when I open my database with nlnotes (I guess this is the basic configuration client), it works. when I open it from normal notes client it doesn't.

any idea? could this be a bug?

thank you.

Open PMR
I do not see any SPRs reporting form events not working on Notes on Eclipse nor can I reproduce (just tested on 9.0.1, the onload event, called some LS from a form displayed in a dialog). Can you open a PMR with IBM Support and provide a sample database so we can reproduce and investigate further.

related to installation !

Hi Oscar,

Thanks for the feedback, I have searched SPRs as well and I did not find anything related.

I was about to create a PMR yesterday, when I have tried it on other machines, and it worked!

I have run the same sample database on 2 different machines and the events worked.

I have uninstalled Domino Clients from my machine, deleted the installation folder and re-installed 9.0.1, the problem persists.

After installing fp1, the problem is gone. knowing that on the other machine, fp1 was not installed.

I didn't change anything in the client settings after sp1 installation. Very weird, hope that this problem won't occur on my client's machines.

Note that I have already Lotus Client 7.0.2 and 8.5.x installed on the same machine, IBM Client 9 upgraded the 8.5.x version.

My install
You're welcome Samer. Just to let you know, I tested on 9.0.1 without FP1...so yeah, there must have been something wrong with your install.

Issue is still there

Hi Oscar,

The issue was fixed for sometime, then it appeared, now it's there. the weird part is that when I open my database from another machine it works.

I actually took a decision to install notes 9 basic, on the client machines, because of this. I have a concern that this issue appears with any machine and it could be catastrophic and the application will be useless.

Any idea how to debug this case with IBM knowing that if I send them my database it will work!

Thank you
Samer

Steps to Generate

I have noticed that if I start at first from eclipse, then opened the application from there, the behavior happens.

If I started the application from Notice (while designer is closed), it doesn't happen. Even I start the designer after that, the behavior does not happen.

Version used: Release 9.0.1 Revision 20131022.0932 (Release 9.0.1)
