How to repair MDB/ACCDB Files?

The most common way to recover corrupt MS Access database is “Compact and Repair Database” command in Microsoft Office Access. The tool is capable of dealing most of the issues related to MS Access database corruption. To recover MDB/ACCDB files from corrupt MS Access database, follow the steps given below -

  1. Start MS Access tool
  2. Click Compact and Repair Database
  3. In MS Access 2010, Compact and Repair Database on the Database Tools ribbon
  4. In MS Access 2007, click Office Button (top left) > Manage > Compact
  5. In Access 95 - 2003, Tools > Database Utilities > Compact
