Future of Web Browser Plug-in?

Has IBM released anything indicating their intentions for the future of the Notes Web Browser Plug-in?

Furtur features or enhancements that are planned?  Are they planning on future releases using more traditional web ports instead of port 1352 and NRPC?

Thank you.

Some thoughts..
No, we have not officially put out any information on the future direction of the Notes Browser Plug-in.  Typically we announce this as we get closer to the release, not to give wrong or incorrect information.  We do have bigger plans for the Notes browser Plug-in which is playing a key role in helping customers move to the web-browser interface strategy and allowing access to their apps from the browsers.   We will look at sharing more details in the next few weeks of what's in 9.0.1 release and future direction.

In my connect presentation, we had talked about few things which the team is looking at, Sametime integration/awareness in apps, chrome support, other platform, tighter integration with iNotes & possibly other mail apps...

As for the NRPC, unfortunately, we will continue to do the NRPC transactions from within the browser plug-in.  The main reason for this is the apps you all have and the LotusScript/Formual Language which requires core components to be installed.  So the plug-in would continue to have installed components including the NRPC requests it's making.
