IBM mail support for Microsoft Outlook

This is a general post regarding IBM mail support for Microsoft Outlook.

Looking for some feedback on the setup....

1.  Is a separate server required?

2. Is DB2 really required?

Any additional information would be appreciated.

A separate server is not required - you can install directly onto your mail servers (assuming those servers do not have Traveler installed since IMSA and Traveler cannot co-exist today).

You can do a POC deployment without DB2, but DB2 is required for failover to work and we strongly suggest DB2 if you are rolling this out to more than a few people.

RE: IBM mail support for Microsoft Outlook

Thanks for the response Nathan.

Further to this, if our mail server is not clustered, and hence no failover, again would DB2 be required?
