~Sven NimgerosterflarMay 21, 2014, 3:06 PM46 PostsAre you referring to the preview pane?I am sorry if I misunderstood the question but if you are missing the preview pane you can re-enable it by going to the Inbox and then from the menu bar go to View-Show- and select either 'Preview on bottom' or 'Preview on side'
~Alexis QuetjipyterMay 21, 2014, 3:09 PM46 Postsre-create workspace Try closing Notes, delete the folder called "workspace" located in Data sub-directory, and then open Notes again. That will regenerate the workspace folder
~Chloe ZekreburgonMay 21, 2014, 4:26 PM17 PostsViews I deleted 'workspace' and Notes would not start, so I uninstalled Notes, deleted 'workspace' again and reinstalled Notes and everything is back to normal. Strange, I've been using Notes since version 4 and never had this particular problem. Thanks for the suggestion.
~Alexis QuetjipyterMay 21, 2014, 4:59 PM46 Postsgood Strange, since when you open Notes again, if Workspace folder is not there, it should create one automatically. I've done that many times. Anyway, good to know it's working now
~Chloe ZekreburgonMay 30, 2014, 4:00 AM17 Postsworkspace I agree that's what should have happened, deleting workspace folder and restarting Notes did create a new workspace but it did not restore the proper views. That's why I removed Notes and reinstalled it which restored all views to their original state. I'm thinking that there may have been an error in one of the databases that was preventing Notes from displaying the view correctly. The other odd thing is when this occurred, I opened some of my old email databases (ver 6.5) and I had now trouble previewing and opening any email. The databases I had trouble with were Ver 9.0 and 8.5.
~Tip EkresamanJun 23, 2014, 3:33 PM212 PostsPossible corrupt NSF ofYou an try to open the NSF file using a different notes client. If yo see the same issues, then it is probably the file, and not an issue with the client installation. Also, if you upgrade the design any mail files with a Domino 6 design to the current design, they should display better. You can use the Domino "Convert" command to upgreade those files. See the Topic Upgrading mail files with the mail conversion utility
