Mail sent via Mac mail client doesn't appear in $Sent folder

When sending mail via the Mac OS X mail client (IMAP account), mail sent does not appear in the $Sent view in the Notes mail database. It does however appear in the All Documents view.

The reason seems to be that the mail is synched with the DeliveredDate field set (which should not be the case) and PostedDate contains not a date, but ...

Field Name: PostedDate
Data Type: RFC822 Text
Data Length: 59 bytes
Seq Num: 1
Dup Item ID: 0
Field Flags: SUMMARY
RFC822 Type: DATE
RFC822 Flags: STRICT
Native Value:

10/03/2015 15:16:43 CET

RFC822 Header Name:

"Date"

RFC822 Header Delimiter:

": "

RFC822 Header Body:

54 75 65 2C 20 Tue,
31 30 20 4D 61 10 Ma
72 20 32 30 31 r 201
35 20 31 35 3A 5 15:
31 36 3A 34 33 16:43
20 2B 30 31 30  +010
30                         0

So there seems to be a problem in the field mapping. The question is, is this a Domino issue or a Mac OS X mail client issue?

The Domino server is a 9.0.1 FP3 running on a Windows 2012 server.

On the Mac side it is OS X Yosemite with the latest updates (10.10.2)
