Traveler 9 and WP8 out of sync

Hi,

We are experiencing an issue on most WP8 phones where random mails are not syncing to the device.  All messages appear in the users Notes client but some are missing from the phone.  There is no pattern or link to the missing documents although most happen over night.  The latest example is.

As shown on Notes Client...

message 001 - received 20/05/13 @ 15:59

message 002 - received 20/05/13 @ 16:41

message 003 - received 21/05/13 @ 03:13

message 004 - received 21/05/13 @ 08:06

message 005 - received 21/05/13 @ 08:32

On the Traveler enabled device running WP8 only messages 001 and 004 were showing.  Manual sync returned the "Email up to Date" message after sync.  Having read each message on the Notes client the messages then come through to the device within about 5 minutes.

Any help or advise would be welcomed!!!

Paul

You need to open a PMR

Hi.

We had this same problem also. There's a hotfix available but only through PMR.
We've been running it since last week on one of our customer's server and no problems so far..

All fixed now!!

Hi Eero,

Thanks for the reply, we did in fact install the Fix Pack 1 (as recommended by IBM on our support ticket) on 22nd May and the missing document issue was resolved.  Not sure what the root cause was but it would appear that the default off-peak settings were over-riding the actual settings that had been applied in the server config document.  We didn't get a chance to test that out as we applied the Fix Pack immediately before changing the config document..

We also had an issue around Japanese fonts not showing correctly when being sent to Internet Mail Providers (Gmail, Yahoo, iCloud...).  Some characters were being displayed at a black diamond with a white ? in the middle.  Was being displayed fine Notes to Notes and looking at the email code there were missing code characters once delivered to Gmail/Yahoo/iCloud.

Thanks

Paul.
