Hello,

I made the first steps to install the DOMINO 9 server. And I want to use the newest DEBIAN 7 platform. In the past I had good experiences with DOMINO 8.5.x under DEBIAN 6.
I tried out the Debian 7 32bit and 64 bit version.

I could successfully install the english DOMINO server version and the HotFixes on both DEBIAN platforms.
I installed it logged on as user notes. And then I changed to root user with sudo -s. Then I called the install routine.
It was also possible on both platforms to configure the DOMINO server remotely.
But the installation of the german language pack failed on both platforms.
Under Debian 7 32bit the language pack installation (installaton software ./LNXDomLP90_CONSOLE) starts. But then I got a message that the current DOMINO server version could not be retrieved.
In the LPLog.txt file I have found the following:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Install Type selected : Replace existing Language Packs.

Under Debian 7 64bit when I called the ./LNXDomLP90_CONSOLE I can only see that the java runtime is initialized. After that the installation process is interrupted and I see the command prompt again.

Any ideas? Where is the current server type stored? Can I made the needed entry in a file manually? How to solve the installation of the language pack in Debian 7 64bit?

I use this configuration

Hello Uwe,

I run several Domino 9 servers on Debian Wheezy (64Bit). Unfortunately I do not remember what I did for the language packs to install but it does work.

I will try to upgrade one of my servers over the week-end. Sorry that I don't have any more details yet.

Have a nice week.

Henning
