Traveler / Android client issues

Having a great deal of difficulty with one Traveler user in particular where after a few days, his phone stops syncing correctly with the server. It just sits and spins. It has been going on for months.

This happens both with a Wifi and an LTE connection.

We have other users running the same Android build and using identical phones that are not experiencing this issue as far as I know.

Resetting the account / device (tell traveler reset * user) works for a while, and then the problem returns.

I have deleted his account on the Traveler server completely, uninstalled the app from his phone, and reinstalled both, which worked for a week or so, then the problem returns.

Does anyone have any ideas on things I could try?
