Exchange vs Traveler

I'm now running Domino 9.0.1FP2 with the latest Traveler release.  Somewhere in the last updates I am now able to connect natively to Traveler over EAS (Exchange ActiveSync) without using the traveler app.  I personally have an iPad and Android smartphone and my users have a mix as well.  My assumption (haven't tested) is that the traveler app on my droid will use more resources than the native email client.  Is there any value in using the traveler app instead of the native apps (in my brief research, it seems my contacts, calendar and mail are syncing, I still have use of flags in messages and I see settings for out of office and signature - so not obvious limitations compared to the traveler app)?  Thanks all.

only the android app is supported

Title:        Does Traveler support ActiveSync on Android

Features that are enabled via the ios/windows companion app (OutOfOffice, mail encryption, etc) would be missing as they are normally provided via the android app itself
