Virtual Server

I created a "Virtual Server" document, and specified a DNS address in it, and home URL in the mapping tab. However, whenever I hit the address from my browser, domino server does not redirect me to the home URL. It seems that the home URL does not work. 

Anybody have any idea why it does no work. The same configuration work on my other domino server in the same domain, but I cannot see any significant difference on the setup.

By the way we do not use Internet Sites document

Old configuration

I know that you are free to do it because IBM promises backward compatibility, however, here's what's in Domino 6's help:

"Virtual Server document
The Virtual Server document applies to releases of Domino prior to Lotus Domino 6 only. The Virtual Server document establishes a new Web site on a multiple-site server, that is, a server that is configured to host multiple Web sites. The settings in this document override the corresponding settings in the Server document."

 

I recommend that you consider using Web Site documents.
