Mail file name not syncing with server

Hi guys,

This may be a syncing issue but not too sure. This is causing me some greif with access!

I have setup my notes client but the mail file is pointing to name "Dan Goodwin". However, that name is no where on my mail file properties - everywhere references "Daniel Goodwin". So I think because it is trying to find Dan and not Daniel, it is causing issues.

On Domino Administrator, I have checked "Manage ACL" on my mail file, I have checked my properties under the people & groups tab but everywhere is saying "Daniel Goodwin".

Can someone help me with this please?

I would include screenshots but I cannot find how!!

Thanks,

Dan

Can you further define the issue?

I'm not sure I understand what the actual issue is, Is it just simplay an appearance issue - where a name isn't matching?

Or is there a problem sending or receiving mail? Or some other problem?

If you open the address book on the server (CTRL-O, enter the server name, then open names.nsf) how is your name spelled in the address book?

When you open the entry in the address book, in the User Name field - do you see your names spelled both ways? (Dan Goodwin and Daniel Goodwin)? If so, which is on top?

What is listed in the First Name/Last Name fields?

When you open your mail file, and look at the ACL, how is the name spelled there?

While your mail file is open, and you click 'File -> Application -> Properties - how is your name spelled in the title field of the Properties dialog?

One place to check...

Hi Daniel,

You can probably check under Preferences, Mail ---> Basic Tab. There's a field called "Owner". It might be the culprit.
