Hello Chris,

Thank you for the reply.  I thought it would be pretty immiated being the setting says next authentication which occurs when the user logs in.  But to answer your question just a minute or so.  Also, this is just a test server so it is the one and only server.  I guess I could have mentioned all that in the beginning.

Something else, the Domino Admin user account I made sure in the ECLs it shows permission for that user to modify ECLs.

In the Domino documentation it shows the method of sending out a memo with a button using the @RefreshECL formula, I have done this and it works.  As soon as the button is pushed I can see the ECL refresh.  So not sure why it does not automatically when the user logs in.

But what is "logging in"?
Yes, the next time the user connects to the home server it should update the ECL. But just logging into Notes without connecting to the server may not immediately update. You'll probably want to try opening the mail file and then taking a look at the ECL.
