iNotes and Sametime

Migrated  our mail server to R9.  Sametime is not working for me when using the Notes9.ntf design.  I'm not seeing the "Instant messaging" checkbox in Preferences either.  Works just fine using the 8.5 template, but not when I upgrade using load convert.  Convert back to 8.5 template and all is OK again (including the preferences field).  

Did I miss something ?

Are you using STLinks?
If you were using STLinks in 8.5, it is no longer supported in 9.0.  You need to switch to the Sametime Proxy Server.  Information on deploying the Sametime Proxy Server is in this article.
