Hi,

task starts, but when i try to use SMTP from outside (e.g. 'telnet host 25'), the task stucks.

11:16:53 AM  SMTP CIServ Listen> Connection Accepted on Port 25 for Session 2307001A
11:16:53 AM  SMTP Server [12398:00012-3394295552] State change from Greeting to Greeting
11:16:53 AM  SMTP Server [12398:00012-3394295552] Processing in Greeting state
11:16:53 AM  SMTP Server: Server is not ready.
11:16:53 AM  SMTP Server [12398:00012-3394295552] State change from Greeting to Shutdown
11:16:53 AM  SMTP Server [12398:00012-3394295552] Processing in Shutdown state
11:16:53 AM  SMTP Server [12398:00012-3394295552] State change from Shutdown to Terminal

The same behaviour when i try to send a mail from outside.

I've enhanced SMTPDebug to 3 but it throws no further information.

Background: i'd moved the whole server to a new hoster. I've done that many times before without any problems. Port 25 is free and SMTP listener task takes it after starting as expected. Other tasks LDAP and HTTP are running without any problems -> i think the installation itself is ok.

Release 9.0.1FP3 on CentOS 7.1.

Has anyone an idea ?

Error looks related to IP address
Check your server document and make sure you have a valid IP address or host name listed.

I've checked IP's

The fully qualified hostname in server doc is right.

When i ping it in terminal of the host the correct ip answers.

I thing other services wouldn't work if this would be wrong.

Remarkable: The SMTP Listener starts to process the request and then stops .... This wouldn't work with wrong ip.

Any configuration issues on the Notes Ports tab?
Have a look at the Notes ports tab and see if anything is amiss. The error is only thrown once in the code, and it's in an area that checks for the IP address. If that doesn't turn up a solution, it's best to open a PMR so we can take a deeper dive on it.
