If I plan to upgrade Domino server to latest version (IBM Domino Enterprise Server Processor Value Unit (PVU) Annual SW Subscription & Support Renewal), does some clients who hasn't extend their subscription (IBM Domino Enterprise Client Access License Authorized User Annual SW Subscription & Support Renewal) connect to server? Can they use older version of client?

Domino Upgrade, and different client versions
Hi Marin,

Thanks for posting your question. Just to make sure that I'm understanding your question correctly:
You're asking whether or not upgrading your Domino Server version to a newer version allows users to still use Clients on an older version, correct?

If this is your question, the short answer is: yes.

For example, if your Domino Server is on 8.5.3 and all of your user's Clients are on 8.5.3 - you upgrade to Domino 9.0.1.
Your users will still be able to use the 8.5.3 Client to access a 9.0.1 Domino server.

However, please bear in mind: not upgrading your Client version to match the Domino Server version can sometimes result in odd behaviors, not being able to fully utilize new functionality, etc.
While it's possible to continue to use old Client versions on a newer Domino version (this is quite common), the best solution is to upgrade the Client version as well.
