While accessing archive from the notes client, it gives error "Database is corrupt and cannot allocate space". Tried to run a database maintenance task from command prompt, executed the following command

Nfixup -F, upon running the fixup command it gave the error "I/O data error".

Kindly provide solution for the query. Thankyou.

Corrupt Database

In this case, you may be able to work around the issue by running Fixup, Compact and Updall as follows:

  1. fixup -f (This causes Fixup to check all documents in the database.)
  2. compact -i -c -d -K (ignore errors, copy-style, delete view indexes, set large UNK table)
  3. updall -R

If this fails, then you must restore the file from backup.

Hi Abu,

If maintenance tasks are not working on the database then it is likely unrecoverable.

Try creating a new replica or copy of the database.

If the error is still occurring you will need to restore from a backup

Thanks,

Mark

Odd question

Abu, don't you use Domino on a Windows server with REFS file system?
