Hi,

I have two servers and I want DDM data to be collected on one server.

I have set a Server collection hierarchy but I am getting this error message on the second server :

Error occrrurred when trying to notify DDM server [MainServer/MyDomain] to collect: No Message Queue with that name.

Any help welcome.

Jean-Pierre

Hello Jean-Pierre,

It would be helpful to know which server was trying to communicate with which.  So could you list the names of both servers and the full text of the error message?  That way I could see in which direction the communication was going.

But the larger question is why do you have a collection hierarchy if you only have 1 server running DDM?  In a collection hierarchy, each server within it is expected to be running DDM.  So I think that this is the root of of the issue.  Is there a reason why you want to have DDM enabled on one machine but collected on another?

  Regards,

Hi Mark,

Both servers where running DDM. I created a collection document on one of them.

It seems that the error was that the main server was collecting from itself.

Thanks for your help.
