Out of Office multiple replies

One of our users is going on maternity leave for 8 weeks, the OOO only replies to the first email received for each sender.  Is there a way to keep sending out the OOO after receiving multiple emails from one user?

It could be weeks after the initial email was received and the OOO was sent and that user could have forgotten.  This is highly possible in this users case.

Thank you,

Dwain

Maybe...

In the standard config no you cannot.  The simplest option I think would be to create an agent to clear the field in the outofoffice profile document which stores who has been sent an OOO (I think it's called Notified, you'll need to double check) and run it on a weekly schedule.

There is a limitation in the size of the Notified field

The Notified_<server name> field in which the names are stored is finite in size (it holds only 'n' number of entries), and, if I recall correctly, is FIFO.  If so, then names that were originally in the Notified_<server name> field are discarded to make room for new names.

If you have a clustered mail server, then you may see more than one Notified field. Notified_<primary server> would have the majority of entries, but there may be a Notified_<secondary server> with entries in it, too.

Simple Agent

I'd create a Simple Action agent, runtime set to On Event - After new mail has arrived, Action - Reply to Sender, Send reply to Sender only, and build the OoO message.
