Lotus Traveler 9.0.0.1IF2 and Samsun SIII

Hi There:

I have several users with iPhones connected to Notes Traveler and everything is fine.

Recently I added a Samsung SIII phone to Traveler.

Everything is working, apart from forwarding. When the Samsung SIII user forwards emails, the receiver receives an email with an empty body.

In the log I note:

Notes Traveler: SEVERE CN=X/O=X Error parsing ActiveSync message: j
Notes Traveler: SEVERE CN=X/O=X Error handling inbound ActiveSync message for command Sync.  Input data (18 bytes): j

Any ideas?

Just upgraded to same build of Traveler getting Same Errors

We are using Samsung Galaxy S4 devices, so far only few users on this new server but I'm seeing the same errors on the Domino console.

Usually in two lines of errors back to back:

SEVERE User Name Error Parsing ActiveSync message: then some funky characters appear.

SEVERE User Name Error handling inbound ActiveSync message for command Sync.  Input data (18 bytes): then some funky characters appear

Any suggestions greatly appreciated ?

Similar problems here

On a Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Lotus Traveler 9.0.1.0 (build 201403211230)

[a] when forwarding an email, the body is blank (although attachments are present)

[b] the same errors in the log. These errors don't seem to relate directly to the forwarding of the email, nor to anything specific the user does on the device. They seem to happen in clusters of 4 or 8 messages (2 or 4 pairs, in other words) approximately every 2 to 4 minutes.

Anybody here made any progress in tracking either of these issues down? I'm less bothered about the 2nd, in the sense that the user hasn't reported any issues arising from it (and it's currently just the one user on a Samsung), but the first is a minor pain.

Same issue with Samsung s5

We were using exclusively  iphones with no issues. We have a new batch of users that went with the Samsung S5 and we are seeing this forwarding issue. The message body does not get forwarded.

One note is that we have found if you click the option to "Edit original message information" (you don't actually need to edit anything) , and then send the message .... the message body will get forwarded also.

No commentary yet on how to fix this issue ???

Thanks,

Bill

Samsung & ActiveSync

Hi all,

just to mention, using Traveler via ActiveSync on Android is not supported. There is a good reason for that. iOS does not use ActiveSync in the same way as Android does. So I would suggest to install the app (via Google Play if you want).

consider inotes ulite in a pinch
while working out the traveler issue specific to that phone
maybe have those user consider using inotes ultralite

They wont get the email pushed to the device, but aslong as they can access the mail server via the mobile web browser can act as a temporary workaround for folks out in the field so they dont need to be tethered to a laptop
