I am thinking that IBM i 7.1 has been out for years now and I am starting to wonder what versions of Domino, Sametime, Quickr, will be working for the follow on release. IBM used to say stuff like "The release of IBM i after x.y will no longer support Domino a.b and customers should upgrade their Domino".
This allowed us customers to budget for Domino migrations, etc. Perhaps bring in the appropriate consultants, etc.
The website IBM would publish this was:
http://www-947.ibm.com/systems/support/i/planning/upgrade/future.html
It used to be quite useful and it used to actually be updated.
The Future stuff was the stuff under future. While the current stuff wasn't, it was moved to the appropriate OS tab. For example, referring something as "the release after 6.1" when 7.1 has been out for years now and the shroud of calling that until announced is long gone.
Almost all of the stuff at that site should be moved off of the 'Future' page and put on either the 6.1 or the 7.1 page. Let's start making the site useful again and put current stuff on it. Like:
"The release of IBM i after 7.1 will no longer support Domino a.b and customers should upgrade their Domino to c.d or higher"
"The release of IBM i after 7.1 will no longer support Quickr h.t and customers should consider ..."
"The release of IBM i after 7.1 will no longer support Sametime u.v and customers should consider ..."
And that's just the Domino related stuff...
