Traveler Status RED - With Thread for phone which is switched off ?

Server : Win2012x64 - Domino :9.0.1.4x64 - Traveler 9.0.1.7

Phone: Apple-iPhone7C2 - iOS9 - Traveler (not Verse) also reinstalled from above server duing investigations.

I keep getting a Traveler Status of RED - with 1 user having a thread running for upto 1200 minutes.  Even when the phone has been switched off !!

We have re-installed traveler on the phone, ran Security Delete, ran Delete, ran Reset.

So far restarting Traveler is the only way to remove these 'stuck' threads.

Is there a way to clear out the stuck threads as they seem to keep appearing for this user when we get wirless network issues (wireless being worked on but going down daily).

User can send mail from his device, but the device never gets any new mail once the issue starts - until traveler is restarted.

Daily restarting of Traveler is not an option as we have an uptime SLA and 7 day notification of planned outages !!

Thanks for any ideas/pointers

Hung threads

Obviously there is something in that user's mail file that is causing a hung thread to the server for this user. When a thread is hung, then syncing will most likely stop for that user, or for other users as well (depending on what type of thread it is). You can try to cancel the syncing of that thread via the StopSync command - tell traveler StopSync <deviceID> <username> If that command does not work, then it means the thread is locked and the only way to recover from that is to restart the Traveler server. If this issue is still occurring (sorry for the late response), pls open a PMR and do the following to gather logs - https://www-304.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSYRPW_9.0.1/ServerPerformanceProblems.dita

Hope that helps.

Is this happening for 1 specific user? You can try to issue the command tell traveler stopsync * <userid> to terminate the long running thread.
