Advice on adding images to footer html signature

Hi,
I wonder if anyone has advice on adding images to a html signature in Notes 9.0.1 FP10?

When we make an html signature with images, sent to iCloud or gmail, and the recipient reply back,
all the images from the signature comes back as attachments. Even if the images are hosted on external
public websites.

Is there some guidelines in order to add images in and html signature?
