Unexpected result while using Disclaimer

Dear all,

The disclaimer tool has been activated this morning on my mail server and works perfectly... until I have been posted that attachment files are no more readable by the people who received the email through internet.

In fact, the attached file is blank or almost blank, but nothing usable is shown on recipient side.

Problem occurs whatever format used: pdf, doc, ppt...

I switch back to not using the disclaimer and everything comes back to normal.

So problem is for sure related to tthe activation of the disclaimer.

Here is what was done:

Server configuration document / router SMTP / Message Disclaimers / Message Discalimers / Enabled

Mail policy document / mail / Message Disclaimers / Disclaimer text : some html stuff

Mail policy document / mail / Message Disclaimers / Disclaimer text format : html

Mail policy document / mail / Message Disclaimers / Disclaimer position : Append

Any idea ?

Thanks.

Is this a FP8 or higher server?

Domino 9.0.1 FP8 introduces a parameter called MIMEDisclaimersNoEncode. If your server has FP8 or higher, then check if the parameter is present. Try setting the value to zero (MIMEDisclaimersNoEncode=0) in the server's Notes.INI.  Restart the SMTP and router tasks after making the change on the INI setting.
