Notes 9 Client and Notes 8.5.3 server

I'm evaluating Notes 9.0 at my company, and I was wondering if there are any issues with me accessing my mail or other applications using the 9.0 client.

I remember instances in the past where just accessing the old server with the new client would crash the server, so I wanted to make sure there aren't any "gotchas", before trying this.

i never had issues like these, i was running notes 9 beta client long bevore updating the Server to v9.0

No known problems
Should be just fine accessing down level  servers from a 9..x Notes Client... I do it all the time in our Development Domain.... (Access, 9.x, 8.5x, 8.02x, 7.05x, 6.56x Servers from my 9.x Client)
