Notes 9 type ahead

I have noticed a change in the Type ahead function that I think happened with the 9.0.1 upgrade?  Type ahead used to look up users in available address books but it also cross referenced my Inbox and as a result the first suggestion would be people I commonly contacted via mail or ST etc.  For example if I typed Paul it would show someone with the first name Paul who I contacted regularly via Notes which is very helpful as it allows you to quickly find people.  For some reason this has stopped, and now it just lists the first 20 Paul's making it much slower to contact people or send emails etc.

can someone confirm what I have observed, I was impressed by the function but now miss it a great deal.  I work for IBM and being a large company this was an extremely useful feature.

Response: Notes 9 type ahead
Hi, thank you posting your query.

The earlier behavior -  where you described of having the correct 'Paul' in the typeahead because you were collaborating him often - is the behavior of Recent Contacts. Please visit - http://www.slideshare.net/tvinayak/improving-notes-addressing-experience-with-recent-contacts

Now, upgrade to IBM Notes 9.0.1 does not change any type-ahead behavior. However, please check the following points -

1. Check your local address book. Go to Recent Contacts. Can you see entries there? Please try to search 'Paul' here.
Did you get an Mail Delivery Failure any time for Paul? If yes, have you marked that email 'Read'. If yes, it probably is marked 'Hidden in typeahead'.

2. If you are not seeing any entries in the Recent Contacts view, have you deleted your metadata by any chance? (Metadata contains the DIP tables which store the Recent Contacts) if you have a backup of the metadata, please restore it to see the same entries of Recent Contacts.

3. Can you check your location settings and send a screenshot to me?

Can you check Preferences-> Mail -> Sending & Receiving -> Local Address Books. Have you added any additional address books or directory catalogs here?

Request you to respond on the queries. Thanks.
