Directory browsing back to /local/notesdata impossible

Environment

Domino 9.0 Server (64 bit)
German Language Pack
IBM AIX 7.1
Several SAN mount points:
/local/notesdata
/local/notesdata/mail

Notes 8.5.3 Client Standard
German
Windows 7

Problem:
  • Trying to open a database w/ Notes client CTRL-O on a Domino server
  • the databases in /local/notesdata are shown
  • selecting the folder mail (which is a separate SAN mount point - /local/notesdata/mail), all databases are shown
  • selecting a folder called mail_a below mail (/local/notesdata/mail/mail_a), all databases are shown
  • going back one folder (/local/notesdata/mail), all databases are shown
  • now when trying to go back to /local/notesdata nothing happens - it stays in /local/notesdata/mail

I don't get any error message. Even waiting a long time doesn't bring me back to /local/notesdata.
The server is running like a charm, super performance, i can open every database, also all read/write permissions are set correctly (755 for notes/notes).

What causes the problem?

Any help appreciated!
-Peter

Is it a "Windows" thing?
We tried to check the directory structure using WinSCP beside Notes.

The result is the same behavior. In WinSCP there's the ".." missing, which you see when using Putty.

Could it be an access issue w/ logical volumes in combination with "Windows"?

Got it. It's a mounting thing
The problem was the mounting of the SAN volumes.

There was a "over mounting" of the SAN volumes and passing on the preivous rights (root) to the ".." file of the mounted volume (notes).

So the user notes could not see the file ".." and so changing to ".." was not possible.
