Ok. Looks like it was a browser issue. I was using IE7 but upgraded to IE 8 and the create function is working as well now.  Its broken the short cut on the desk top but guess you can not have everything!

We are glad to hear Notes Browser Plug-in is working well now.

May I ask a couple of questions?

Regarding to desktop short cut key,  are you using the Public Beta version or 9.0 release version?

A quick check on Platform.  Is it Windows Phone or Windows Desktop like Win7 or Win8?
