IBM Connections Features issue

  • Category: Notes Client

Hello,

I have a strange issue with IBM Connections Features on my Lotus Notes Social Edition 9.0.1FP2, simply the features don't work,  I cannot see user pictures in Sametime chat window and also the Connections bar in Sametime chat window is missing.
In my company all the software is distributed by HPCA, so all the machines have the same releases of all software, this issue affects only my client !
I have checked the client of a workmate and it has the same software and LN configuration and in this case Connections Feature work.
I cannot understand why on my client it seems something is missing.

Any idea ?

Older issue, but it might still be relevant

Have a look at this Technote. It's a bit dated, but it is still useful for identifying some things to check. Hopefully it will get you on the right path. Since the software and presumably the server are all the same, should be a configuration somewhere on your client.

Did you check the logs?

You'll probably want to contact your help desk team for some assistance reviewing the logs. I would guess there is something in the way of an error there that would point to the problem. Issues like this can have many causes, so it's best to start with the logs and go from there.
