Traveler Memory Usage

we are using DOMINO 9.0.1FP3 64Bit with IBM Notes Traveler 9.0.1.0 Build 201412181658.

When the IBM Traveler is started, it shows the following message:"Notes Traveler: Starting JVM with Maximum Memory = 8192M based on maximum of 1/4 of physical memory (32768M) or the Maximum Memory Size specified in the server document (1024M)"

Although the server document has a restriction to limit the size of memory to 1024 MB for the traveler it seems that this setting is ignored. What can we do? Is it useful to use the NOTES.INI param NTS_Java_Parms?
