Hello,

We have just installed Lotus Traveler and realise that the admin interface is avaible from the internet on port 80.

Also mobile terminal use the same port to synch.

What is then recommended to protect the server?

Is it possible to have mobile client sync on port 80 and the admin interface on another port?

How do we move to SSL for the mobiles?

Thanks for your lights on this.

Cedric

Secure Traveler

Using port 80 is not recommended for productive use as passwords and data are going to be transmitted in plain text.

Consult the documentation coming with the product (google: domino infocenter). eg: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/domhelp/v8r0/topic/com.ibm.help.domino.admin85.doc/H_ABOUT_SETTING_UP_SSL_ON_A_SERVER.html

If using this in a productive environment you may want to double check by contracting IBM to check your setup and implement best practices configuration if necessary.

Redirect HTTP to HTTPS
The previous answers I have added. After configuring SSL on a Domino server should be set redirect HTTP (80) to HTTPS (443).
