Interim Fix 4 - Error

I have just tried to run Interim Fix 4 on Domino 9 (windows server 2012). I get the message :

Incremental Installer 9.0 -> Release 9.0 HF588

Installer found the incorrect release 9.0 HF751 Aoril 23, 2013 of Notes in C:PROGRAM FILES\IBM\DOMINO. Please check to ensure this is the correct directory or use a corresponding installer. See the file UPGRADE.LOG for more Information.

 

The Upgrage.log does not say anything more.

I have previously installed Interim Fix 1.

I have also tired to installed Interim Fix 2, 3 and they error with the same message as 4.

 

Do I need to remove a previous fix before and new fix can be applied?

If so how?

Yes, you need to unstall the previous Interim Fix 1 your were running(eom)

Please, rerun installer for 9.0 HF751 once again
On second run it should uninstall itself.

Interim Fix 4 - Error
I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble installing IF4.  Yes the IF's will/should uninstall the previous IF and/or hotfix which you have in place.  In order for it to do this it needs to be able to find the uninstaller, which is usually stored in the RCH_Backup directory.  If this directory was removed or the necessary files are missing, it will not be able to.  In your case I would recommend uninstalling your hotfix first (9.0 HF751) then applying IF4.  If you continue to have issues I'd recommend opening a pmr with our support teams to help resolve this issue for you.

Uninstall IF1 and install IF4 how to.

To uninstall the IF1, you just have to run the 90HF75_Wnn.exe program again. Then it asks if it should revert to a previos version. 

OK to this, and the program reverts to Domino 9.0.

Then you run the 90HF588_Wnn.exe progam again, and now the installation runs and the server upgrades
