How to get private key after merging certificate

I have successfully merged a certificate into keyring.  The server is now serving the certificate.  However, I also need the private key so I can use it in apache server.  How do I create it or where do I find it?

That only handles the certificate.  It does not say it will give the private key file (the dot key file).  Thank  you for the reply.  I have however managed to resolve my problem.  The certificate authority issued another certificate based on csr generated by openssl.  That gave me the key file I need.  Lotus does not give any key file which can be used in Apache.
