I understand where those files are supposed to be located but aren't they created when you setup DAOS.

My problem is I cannot get those files created.

I receive the DAOSinit error 259 and I cannot get the darn thing setup.

I have DAOS working fine on another server.

I modified the server config and DAOS is enabled.

I checked the Notes.ini file to verify the DAOSBase Path matches what is in the Server Config.

Not sure why I cannot get this going.

startup type?
Is Domino being starting up as a service, or being run as a standalone application?  If it's a service, the environment has some subtle differences and I've seen that cause problems.  For at least the DAOS first setup phase, please try disabling the service, and running it as a standalone app and see if that helps.
