Domino HTTP, Traveler CPU pegged at 100%

Before upgrading to Domino 9 our dedicated Win 2K8 R2 server was handling our traveler needs.  The very day we upgraded to Domino 9 and Traveler 9 the CPU began to run high.  It is the HTTP task that is killing the system.  It typically is running 50-60%, but after about 24 hours of running it pegs the CPU at 100%, rendering the server useless.  Syncs basically fail or literally take 45 minutes to complete, getting into the O/S take 10+ minutes via RDP.  The quickest way for us to recover is to end Domino from admin, which immediately frees resources, then start Domino.  I recently scheduled two daily tasks in the directory to stop and restart HTTP in an attempt to limp by.  Will see how that goes over the next day or two.

As mentioned the environment was rock solid prior to the upgrade.  Anyone else experiencing this?

Update

FYI, I have ran almost 24 hours clean (I also disabled the restart of HTTP).  Average CPU is holding around 10-15%, much better than the 50-60.  Not pegging at 100% either.  Another day and I will feel good with saying we are fixed.

Difference?  One piece of info I exluded earlier was this server is a VMware VM running in a vShpere 5 environment.  Previously, and it was fine running with 8.5 Domino/Traveler, I had 1 socket and 2 cores assigned to the VM.  I upped the cores to 4 and have not had an issue since.  I really do not think this has anything to do with VMware, given 2 cores was fine up to the point I upgraded to Domino 9/Traveler 9.  I am OK staying at 4 cores if that is needed, however others should be aware if this occurs to them.

Domino Interim Fix Pack

We had the same problem with 4 cores. There is an interim fix pack for Domino which fixed the problem.

Good to know

We are still ok at 4 cores, almost 48 hours and no issue.  For others reference we are running about 400 I-Phones and Androids and now 1 BB10.

I do not see the FP in passport yet, must not be an official release yet.
