Maxdocs in lotusscript searches still broken

Back in August 2012, IBM finally accepted what we'd all known for years, that the MaxDocs parameter in lotusscript db searches was broken

SPR LAMY8X3498 was raised

It's still broken

Three years since the SPR, twelve years since first raised, still no fix

Is it any wonder all my clients are shifting away from notes when this sort of crap persists?
