Rich Text Field Changing to Text

Hi,

We are experiencing some very strange behaviour with a field called Body, rich text.

On occasion, when a user edits and saves the document, this Body field is changing to be text. And hence attachments are being lost.

This has been on-going for some time now and I just can't fathom out what is happening.

Only impacts random users.

Yesterday I made some changes to the Notes setup for one user it was happening to and I am monitoring to see if it helps. Nothing edited as yet.

Her notes setup was accessing a desktop6 ndk file so I wondered if that may be the issue.

Has anyone else experienced such behaviour .. ? All very strange.

Many thanks

Andy

What code is being used to save it?

Have you looked through all the function language & lotusscript to see if the field 'Body' is being set by anything?

Are users using a browser or a Notes client to edit & save this field?

do you have form stored as MIME?
This could happen if the form is stored as MIME and you have an agent or other code try and manipulate the rich text.  It will lose it's formatting.
