Sametime keeps going back to the sidebar

  • Category: Sametime

  • Release: 9.0.1

I open the notes client and developer. I tell the embedded sametime client to open in a new window. I then put focus on the designer. As soon as I do that, the separate Sametime window disappears.

When I go back to the client, Sametime is in the sidebar again.

I want Sametime to stay in a separate window

I would suggest opeing a PMR with IBM

I found a couple similar issues with Sametime & Designer in Notes 8.5.x, and opened PMRs with IBM. I was told at the time, that 'it's working as designed' and there was no plan to fix in the 8.5 codestream.

If you search the 8.5 forum, others are (were ) having similar issues..

I agree that you could create a PMR for IBM requesting to subscribe for the SPR VMAA8JPGR4...
I would think that this has something to do with how sametime was designed prior to the jump from the Notes basic client IM towards to the current standard notes embedded sametime client as the Domino Designer and Domino Administrator utilizes the Notes basic client Instant messaging.
