How to install IBM Domino Administrator and Design Clients ?

Hi people.

I'm evaluating e-mail systems for my company, and just downloaded trial versions of Domino and Notes 9.0.1.

Domino installation was straight forward on a Windows Server 2008.

Now, I need to install Domino Administrator and Design clients, and according to this guide (  http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/dominowiki.nsf/dx/Installation_and_Configuration_of_IBM_Notes_9_on_Windows  ) it should be included in the Notes client for selection (take a look on the fourth screenshot), but when I run the installation, there's none of these options, just the Notes Client itself.

So, how to really install the admin and design clients?

Thanks!

Notes Admin

You must download the Notes Admin/Designer/Notes client from Passport Advantage.  When you download the "All in one" client, you will have the option to install the Administrato Client.  There are several types of Notes clients, there is a Stand Alone Notes Client and a Multi User Notes Client as well.

Notes Admin

Hi, thanks for the answer.

I'm trying to access the Passport Advantage site but is unavailable since then.

Let's hope that it becomes available soon.

You said that are several types of Notes clients, and the one that I downloaded is not the "All in one", but how can I check if it's the Stand Alone or Multi User client?

I downloaded on this link:  http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/downloads/ls/lsndad/  but there's no indication of what type of client it is.

Notes Admin

Hi, the Passport Advantage site is (supposedly) back online, I already have an IBM ID, it recognized me, now it's asking for a "Site number" and "Business justification", that's ok, but when I fill in the details, it returns an error that I am "requesting access to an inactive site".

I already sent an e-mail to support, but received no reply so far.

Is there any other place to download?

I really need to evaluate Notes against other e-mail systems, I used Notes back in the early 2000s and found it a lot better than every other enterprise e-mail systems.

Thanks.

Still can't evaluate

Hi.

I just got an e-mail from Passport Advantage telling that there's no trial download there, and only clients that have bought products can access the site.

I don't understand why there's a trial version of Domino Server for all operating systems, but not the Notes Design and Admin client (or it's insanely difficult to obtain).

Thanks everyone for the answers so far, and I'm still hoping to evaluate the new Notes version against the other major competitor systems.
